How Our Fragrance Finder Works

Finding a fragrance you love shouldn’t require an expert knowledge of perfume. Our Fragrance Finder is designed to narrow down the Naked Formula collection based on the types of scents that naturally appeal to you.

Start by choosing whether you’d like to explore men’s, women’s or unisex fragrances. Then select the fragrance styles that best describe what you’re looking for. You can choose anything from fresh, citrus and clean to sweet, warm, woody, spicy or seductive – and you’re free to select several styles if your tastes cross different fragrance families.

How We Calculate Your Matches

Every fragrance in the Naked Formula collection has been individually assessed and assigned four of its most characteristic scent styles. We also score how strongly each of those characteristics contributes to the overall fragrance.

When you make your selections, our Fragrance Finder compares your choices against these profiles and ranks the fragrances that most closely match your preferences.

The percentage shown alongside each recommendation gives you a quick indication of how closely the fragrance matches the combination of styles you’ve chosen.

How Many Styles Should I Choose?

There’s no right or wrong answer, but we recommend selecting two to four styles for the most useful results.

Choosing a single style will give you a broader selection. For example, selecting Woody will find fragrances across the collection with a noticeable woody character.

Combining several styles makes the search much more specific. Selecting Woody + Warm + Spicy, for example, tells our finder that you’re looking for a richer fragrance combining all three characteristics.

Not sure what to choose? Experiment with different combinations. You may discover a fragrance style – or even a completely new scent – that you wouldn’t normally have considered.

Every Naked Formula fragrance is assigned four key scent styles, with each one scored according to how strongly it characterises the fragrance.

Our Fragrance Finder compares the styles you select with these individual fragrance profiles. Products matching the greatest number of your chosen styles are ranked highest, while the individual style scores help us determine which fragrances are the strongest overall matches.

The result is a simple match percentage, helping you quickly identify the fragrances most closely aligned with your preferences.
